Dr Haron is an Australian trained Neurosurgeon with special interests in Neuro-oncology and complex and minimally invasive spinal surgery. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a member of the Neurosurgical Society of Australasia.

After graduating from the University of Newcastle with Distinction in 2014, Dr Haron was accepted into the Surgical Education and Training program in Neurosurgery, training in centres in Newcastle, Sydney, Wellington, and Wollongong before being awarded his fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2025. Dr Haron was awarded a Masters of Neurosurgery through the University of Sydney and has contributed to multiple research publications during his career to date. Following completion of training, Dr Haron was selected to undertake dedicated postgraduate training in complex spinal surgery through the Vancouver Spine Surgery Institute in North America. Here he trained with some of the leading surgeons in spinal oncology, trauma and deformity correction. Upon completion of his fellowship he returned to Newcastle where he has appointments at John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle Private, Lingard Private and Lake Macquarie Private Hospitals.
